My Father’s Violin 🎻 New Movie Ending Explained

Outline Of Movie

The story tells about an 8-year-old girl named Özlem. His father, Ali Razir, is a street performer, and they hang out with some friends. Unfortunately, when Ali fell ill and died, Özlam remained under the care of his estranged brother Mehmet.

Can Özlem melt his icy heart and show him the true meaning of life, with the bad blood between the brothers and Mehmet's arrogant, selfish attitude causing a big obstacle?

What happened between Ali Razir and Mehmet?

A lot of the drama in this movie revolves around the baggage between Mehmet and Ali Razir. When Özlem runs away from home, thinking that Mehmet will return him to the orphanage, he opens his mouth and reveals the truth to him.

Mehmet and Ali Razir's father died in the past. In his absence, his mother married another man who beat them every day. Their mother ignores this, turns to drink and drowns her sorrows. Over time, the couple was raised by an alcoholic and a monster.

Although the two brothers promised to run away together, there was a big misunderstanding between the couple. Mehmet was convinced that his brother had left him. In fact, Ali sacrificed his life and well-being to save Mehmet because he could only buy one ticket on the boat.

Ali Razir has been following his progress all these years with a book full of newspaper clippings and pictures of his brother. Why she never explained herself when she was alive or tried to catch up with Mehmet until after his terminal diagnosis.

Does Mehmet fix things with Suna?

At the beginning of the film, when the couple argues, Mehmet is left to reflect on his own selfishness and arrogance. Almost losing his desire is a turning point for him, and with the help of a young girl, he manages to woo her in a restaurant. He pours his heart and soul into his apology and eventually sees Suna back in his life.

Mehmet's harmony in life is also reflected in the composition he was able to complete in time for the big producer. Up to this point, he had struggled to inject emotion and feeling into his work, something that matched Mehmet's indifference and indifference to life. Once you get everything in order, the composition flows beautifully.

  Is the longing dying?

While Mehmet and Suna rehearse their big compositions, Özlem is left to his own devices. He walks over to the vending machine and helps himself to a bowl of nuts. The problem is, he's really allergic to it and soon collapses on stage.

Believing that Mehmet is failing in his duties as a responsible guardian - considering that he never read Ozlem's file and saw what she was allergic to - Inci decides to return the girl to the orphanage, believing that it is best for her.

When Özlam wants to see Mehmet, he goes in to see him and explains that the violin in Ali Razir's hand was actually his father's before he died. Mehmet decides to engrave Ozlem's initials on his back to show that he is now a member of the family.

Why does the longing run away?

When Ozlam is taken to the orphanage, he is clearly not happy and runs away. The police are informed, but Inci calls Mehmet and asks for his help.

Just before the start of the big show and with a full audience eagerly waiting for his composition, Mehmet decides to leave and returns to Özlema. Özlam simply wanders the streets and manages to find it with relative ease. She is surprised that Mehmet is there and worries that she will miss his big performance. So he grabs her hand and runs back to the theater, making sure not to tell Pearl or the police where they are.

The pair arrive just in time to perform for the final song. After they play, the whole orchestra gets a standing ovation... and then the movie ends.

Can Özlem get custody of Özlem?

Considering how intense the film's grand finale is, it's fair to say that Ozlam will be taken back to the orphanage. The credit sequence shows Özlem and Mehmet dancing in the street and playing the violin together, so it's safe to assume that this takes place sometime after the events of the film.

It is possible that they commemorate Ali Razir by performing in the street. Given Mehmet's new-found willingness to do what Özlem fears, it may be that Inci and social services realize that he is a suitable parent and allow Özlem to take custody.
